Proposed effective date: August 3, 2026
Last updated: July 28, 2026
This page summarizes the account-deletion process described in the TruePair Privacy Policy.
Request deletion in the app
When the deployed feature is available, open TruePair settings and select the account-deletion control. Review the displayed consequences and confirm the request. The app should show the applicable reversible grace period and scheduled deletion date.
The current release-candidate policy describes a seven-day grace period. During that period, the profile is hidden and signing in may allow restoration before the deadline. The final published instruction must be verified against the deployed behavior before activation.
Request help
If you cannot access the app or deletion control, email support@truepair.com from an address associated with the account when possible. Include enough information to locate the account, but do not send a password, one-time verification code, payment credentials, or unrelated identity documents.
TruePair may verify identity or authority before acting on the request.
What deletion does
After the grace period expires, TruePair deletes or de-identifies the account and associated profile, chat, media, and User Content according to the deployed deletion workflow. Access and public discoverability remain disabled during processing.
Some narrowly limited records may remain for safety, fraud prevention, legal acceptance, transaction, dispute, security, audit, legal-hold, or other lawful purposes for the periods described in the Privacy Policy. Continued retention does not preserve login access or public profile visibility, and direct identifiers should be pseudonymized when identity is no longer necessary.
Subscriptions and purchases
Deleting the TruePair account or app does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription. Manage cancellation through the applicable App Store account settings. Apple handles eligible App Store refunds under Apple’s rules.
Data export
If you want an eligible copy of your information, submit the export or access request before permanent deletion. A request made after deletion may be limited to information that lawfully remains and can still be associated with the verified requester.
See Privacy Choices for request instructions.
Safety and legal holds
A narrowly scoped hold may temporarily preserve directly affected records when reasonably necessary for an active safety matter, fraud investigation, dispute, litigation, regulatory request, or legal obligation. A hold should be reviewed and released when its purpose ends.
