This page summarizes privacy controls and request options described in the TruePair Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy controls if this summary differs from it.
Manage information in TruePair
You can manage many profile fields, preferences, visibility choices, device permissions, and notification settings through the app and device settings. Removing a field from your visible profile does not necessarily delete safety, transaction, legal-acceptance, or other records retained for the limited periods described in the Privacy Policy.
Privacy requests
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may request:
- access to personal information associated with you;
- correction of inaccurate personal information;
- deletion of personal information;
- a portable copy of eligible information;
- information about categories, sources, purposes, and disclosures;
- withdrawal of consent where processing depends on consent;
- limitation of certain sensitive-information uses where applicable; or
- review or appeal of a privacy-request response.
TruePair states in its release-candidate Privacy Policy that it does not sell personal information, use personal information for targeted advertising, or use personal information for cross-app tracking in this release. Therefore there is no such active sale, targeted-advertising, or cross-app-tracking use to opt out of at this time.
Submit a request
Email privacy@truepair.com with:
- the type of request;
- the phone number or email associated with the account, if applicable;
- the state in which you live; and
- enough detail to understand the information or action requested.
Do not send your password, one-time verification code, payment credentials, or unrelated identity documents. TruePair may request reasonable information to verify identity or authority before fulfilling a request.
Authorized agents
An authorized agent may submit a request where applicable law permits. TruePair may require proof that the agent is authorized and may ask the account holder to verify identity or confirm the request directly, subject to legal exceptions.
Appeals
If TruePair denies a request in whole or in part and applicable law provides an appeal, reply to the response or email privacy@truepair.com with the subject Privacy Appeal. Identify the prior request and explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered.
Account deletion
For the account-deletion workflow, reversible grace period, subscription reminder, and limited post-deletion retention, see Account Deletion.
Non-discrimination
TruePair will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. Some data is necessary to provide requested features, secure accounts, prevent abuse, process transactions, or meet legal obligations; deleting or limiting that data may affect the related feature or account.
Other complaints
You may have the right to contact your state attorney general or another competent privacy regulator. Nothing on this page limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
